If I have had issues entering Thailand on too many tourist visas on my Irish passport previously.

Will I have the same issues entering on a new British passport, never used in Thailand before?

I’m guessing with the fingerprints, everything will show and they will give me the same problems again?

Thanks in advance.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The individual is concerned about entering Thailand with a new British passport after having faced issues with multiple entries on an Irish passport. Comments indicate that fingerprints are stored in a database, suggesting that prior visa history may affect future entries. Suggestions include exploring options like an education (ED) visa or a Non-B visa based on employment to avoid complications.

Look into an education visa and maybe an Elite visa in the future. Your first ED visa shouldn’t prove to be big of an issue and it can grant you 9 months

Working visa is also a good option but might want to start with an ED just so you can learn Thai at the same time. It’ll help with your job too

ED visa is possible, but I heard they are looking at it extremely closely if you already have a tourist visa and the ED visa is for studying Thai. The best ED visa, bar none, is to get a bachelors or masters degree at a real, well respected university (i.e. Mahidol, Thammast, Chular, KMUTT, etc...)

Getting a Non-B on the basis of employment is the best idea possible. At least in my industry, nobody knows Thai, and knowing Thai won't help at the job at all.

Seoirse Grant Oops...sorry. If he is not Thai, you cannot get a Married to a Thai visa.

If your boyfriend is a Thai...its time to Get Married. Otherwise be prepared for denied entry. Good Luck.

Agreed. Your options are few to none in living and staying in Thailand. Need to get a job which provides a work permit...as a teacher ??

@James *******
had a lot of questions about why I come to Thailand and stay for a long time on tourist visas. I come to be with my boyfriend was my answer, not good enough. Currently looking into a job and work permit to hopefully sort this ongoing problem.

Fingerprints stored in a database. All the old entries, visa and passports used will show up on the screen.

Will Morgan Firstly they scan your passport, then they ask you to put your fingers on the device. The history (which likely includes the last entry or two), would show up at step 1.

New passports link on step 1, regardless of fingerprints, based on date of birth, name etc. Same as before, before biometrics. They linked before also.

Fingerprints would serve to minimize fakes (you entered on your real name before and now you enter on a fake name etc, but same fingerprints).

Biometrics also includes face matching.

Why else would they keep browsing passports looking at history?

I did not have any issues on a new passport, the old one being full of entries. Let's just say i glanced at that screen from behind and did not see tens of pics of me with tens of entries.
