Hi everybody, we stayed in thailand for 4 month, arrived in dec 2021 on covid exemption from germany. Did 30 days extension, then two times covid extension. Left the country before our 2nd exemption expired ,to cambodia. We are now planning to fly back to thailand on the 8.June. Do you think we will have problems with entering thailand because we just have been left for two month before entering again? Would it help to avoid problems if we‘re having an onward ticket on hand when entering back?We are planning only to do a short stop before flying to indonesia.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user, who previously stayed in Thailand on a COVID exemption, inquires about potential entry issues when returning after a two-month absence. A commenter responds that issues may arise, especially when flying into Bangkok, and suggests preparation with cash (20,000 baht), an onward ticket, and booked accommodation to avoid problems. They also mention the possibility of needing a ThailandPass for entry.

You could have issues, especially flying into Bangkok. To mitigate these make sure you have the three things that they may try to catch you out on.

Cash - 20,000 baht or equivalent in a major currency. Must be cash. A bank statement or phone app or credit card won’t suffice.

Onward ticket - proof of onward flight within the 30 day allowance.

Accommodation - booked accommodation for the first few days of your stay. Doesn’t need to be the whole time, just proof that you’ve booked somewhere.

If it doesn’t change by then you will also need a ThailandPass to enter.
