Just got my dtv soft power application rejected in Hanoi after 3 days.
My question is
Ive been in Thailand for 3 months recent time, but for 2026 ive only been in the Kingdom for 10 days.
Will it be any problem for me to return now on tourist visa after my application was rejected?
Iam an swedish citizen!
Thank you for all help.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The original poster's dtv soft power application was rejected after a brief three-day process, prompting concerns about the implications for returning to Thailand on a tourist visa. They noted having spent three months in Thailand recently but only ten days in the Kingdom in 2026. Responses suggest that immigration decisions can vary and depend on various factors, but generally, a rejected visa application should not prevent entry on a tourist visa, especially considering the brief stay in 2026.
Just based on recent time and 10 days in 2026 there is no way to predict the decision of an Immigration Officer who has all the information about entries and exits, passport and visa or visa exempt entries for at least the last 20 years on his screen.
Immigration does not have access to Embassy files to see who is denied a visa and the reason, so you are not going to be denied entry based on your denied visa application.
Anonymous participant you never get a reason, I think soft options are not going through so easily 3-6 months, the question is, what are applicants doing for the remaining 4.5 yrs?
Anonymous participant Will you be denied entry ONLY because you application was denied? NO - most likely it will not even show is his database.
The immigration officer will look at your passport and see how long you spent in Thailand last 1yr, how many times you came in and left, visa extensions. If you are stressed pay 3500 and get a safe entry service.
search for SWD Thai Visa Service. I think the service is cheaper if you arrive at BKK, not DMK. Where did you see 6 months of bank statements? The DTV website says 3 months when I upload the forms.
Who is the source of this "Reset" I saw one handmade poster from an immigration office down in the islands. The rest of the "Reset" posts and info were not from official sources. A recent Youtube video from Thai lawyers suggests it does not reset and they gave examples.
Yeah - I think we will see how it plays out. A couple of anecdotes are not enough and especially when they are from someone selling visa services. I was always suspicious that the slate would be wiped clean at midnight 31st De4cember but this is thailand so you never know.
