Will I face issues entering Thailand again after being denied entry on a 60-day exemption if I have a DTV visa?

Hello everyone. I was denied entry into Thailand based on a 60-day exemption. Will I have a problem entering with a DTV visa? Has anyone had a similar problem? How can I re-enter Thailand? I don't have an entry ban.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user was denied entry into Thailand on a 60-day exemption and is seeking advice on re-entering with a DTV visa. Comments from the community suggest that obtaining a proper visa like a DTV should prevent any entry issues. Several users shared their experiences with immigration, noting that consistent use of visa exemptions can lead to being denied entry and that it's important to have a valid visa to avoid complications. There are recommendations to finish the new visa application, and some users have success stories about re-entering after applying for the DTV.

Anonymous participant 515 How many times did you reenter on visa exempt? Did you use agent?

It all depends on the immigration officer some will let you in, others won’t. From what I’ve noticed, female officers usually check things more thoroughly than their male colleagues.

On my second entry, I got a warning (from a female officer), and on my third try, I was denied entry (again by two different female officers).

I followed advice from another officer and flew to Malaysia for a few days before coming back. I was also recommended to go to a male officer’s counter.

So I tried that and when it was my turn, he barely even looked at me. Fingerprints, photo, and “Enjoy your stay in Thailand!” 😅

Just get a tourist visa or DTV. If it’s because you have numerous boarder bounce stamps then consider getting a new passport. They don’t like people gaming their system.

Anonymous participant 491 it’s not about the stamps. Everything is recorded in the system including remarks about you.

I disagree they flick through to check the stamps.

Recommend you finish new visa before returning. DTV or ED visa are the best option ( DTV need show 500K in bank statement, ED visa just show 30K ). You can contact to this muaythai school, it’s muaythai school under Thailand education ministry , can support both DTV or ED visa by themselves paperwork. Explain your 60 day exemption denial in more detail.
Adnan ********
Once you get the DTV you will NOT have any issue to enter Thailand. you can even apply tourist Visa from embassy and go to Thailand without any issue (i have done it before i got the DTV), they only banned you for using visa exemption too many time in one year (dont argue with me about there is no mentioned the limit anywhere, i am just telling you what i have been told by the Thai IMMIG), i am sure if you wait another 6-8 months outside Thailand then you can even come with visa exemption....

Anonymous participant 853 be prepared for DENIED entry next time. There's a crackdown on those who use both the visa exempt entry and tourist visas with 30 day extensions to live and work in Thailand.

Participant anonyme 853 number 3 on the same year is probably your last one, maybe you will have 1 more with a warning, and maybe you will be denied to enter ..
Anonymous ******************
Anonymous participant 174 yes...getting tight...going to USA for several months ...then Ill grab the DTV.

Anonymous participant 853 wise decision to get the DTV ASAP..

This guy thought he could live in Thailand forever just by jumping from one visa exemption to another ; like it’s some lawless place with no borders. The kind of person who thinks they’re above the law wherever they go to save some $

Many people who got denied entry without a visa, usually gets told they should get a proper visa... did they tell you to get one? I was here 2years+ with exempts (only 2 times 60d tr visa) until I got lectured longtime at the airport.. they let me in but told me it was the last time, after that I went to get ED and used that for 9months before getting back to my home country where I applied, and got the DTV

If you can get a DTV you are unlikely to have a problem entering
