What’s the rhyme or reason on the lack of consistency with showing vaccine or other documentation traveling around Thailand?
As an example;
Traveling from Phuket airport to BKK i was not asked to show vaccine info. BKK to Phuket I was also not asked.
The ferry from Phuket to Phi Phi I was asked for it and told it is mandatory and again taking the ferry back to a Phuket I was told I must show it.
That doesn’t seem to make any sense.

TLDR : Answer Summary
Travelers in Thailand have noted inconsistencies regarding the requirement to show vaccine documentation when traveling between different locations, such as from Phuket to Bangkok and vice versa. While some ferry operators enforce strict checks, airlines may not require any documentation at all. This discrepancy is attributed to a lack of standardized enforcement and varying provincial requirements, leading to confusion among travelers.
There is no mandatory rule to show a 'vaccine passport' when travelling around Thailand. Individual businesses may ask for it but it's not a law in Thailand.
It’s global theatrics. None of it makes any sense anywhere. People wear single-use masks for weeks and put them on and take them off repeatedly with their filthy virus infected hands. The whole thing is for show… and for control. The population have become mere puppets. Time to say enough is enough.
As far as I know, vaccination rules depend on the province you are flying to. So, there's not a single criterium for the whole country but each province applying its own criteria. In the specific case of Bangkok, you are not required to show anything to fly in. Of course, to this, you should be aware of what some people have already said in the comments, enforcement of rules in Thailand is very poor, therefore most of the times it is up to the company or airline to ask you for it.
