TLDR : Answer Summary
Traveling within Thailand, including from Phuket to Ko Samui, generally does not require stringent measures. While proof of vaccination may be asked for in some cases, many travelers report that showing a vaccine certificate is sufficient where required. Each province may have different regulations; for instance, while traveling between Khon Kaen and Bangkok has mentioned requirements like vaccination or a negative test, overall travel appears more lenient, especially via taxi and ferry.

Just did a taxi and ferry. Absolutely nothing.

Each province has different regulations. For example, I recently flew from Khon Kaen to Bangkok and you don't have to do or show anything (you don't even need to be vaccinated), but to get back to Khon Kaen you need to be vaccinated.

Khon Kaen is considered a "red zone". Took 45 min to get to Bangkok, but 7 hours bus back to Khon Kaen, lol! p.s: Train also require PCR or vaccination back to KK.

Very annoying.

You don’t need to be vaccinated. At most, a negative test.

Yes, but only PCR will be accepted, so its kinda annoying.

If you're vaccinated, having proof meets the travel requirements for everywhere in Thailand currently.

Maybe asked to show vaccine certificate
