Hey everyone,

1 - Which destination do you think is the best for applying DTV Visa (soft power) ?

Jakarta or Laos ?

I heard this was easier and faster to make it in one on these 2 places.

What about Manila?

2 - Can I take an onward flight ticket for return to Thailand?

Because if it takes longer than expected, i wouldn't like to be stressed about it, and if it's faster than expected, i don't have to stay there too long.

3 - Do i need a 1 year contract on TM30 or less time is enough?

Thanks for your answers ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿผ

No need to book an appointment at Jakarta but need to book an appointment at Vientiane.

At Jakarta, the standard processing time is 3 working days after submission. You can count the number of days (include weekends and public holidays), easier for you to book the return flight. I.e if you submit documents on Monday, your passport can be collected on Thursday. Submit on Tuesday, collect on Fri.

At Jakarta, neither Thai lease agreement not TM30 is needed.

Sign up for a boxing class, have them give you a letter, and submit under soft power option. All done, keep your money in home country!!

1 month, 2 months, 3 months doesn't matter. They want you to come back to Thailand and spend money after your class for the next 5 years without having to worry about vusas

do I have to go to the class?

Because I got a shoulder injury and would prefer to get the thai cooking class, but don't know yet which centers are "approved" by govt, and if the

Check cooking or massage schools in Chiang Mai. Laos is usually the best place to get new visa.

no matters if i live in Pai (TM30) ?

Because in fact, i would like to go to the class, at least for a few weeks.

So if i can find one here, that's better for me
