Hey guys! For the letter of residence from immigration required for renewing the initial 2-year driving license, what immigration office do I visit in Bangkok? Chaeng Wattana or IT Square Laksi or somewhere else? Also, can I get the letter of residence on the same day? Thank you!

TLDR : Answer Summary
To obtain the letter of residence required for renewing a driving license in Bangkok, you should visit the Chaeng Wattana immigration office. While some users mentioned that they may mail it to you, others indicated that if you visit the immigration office in the morning, you could potentially receive the letter on the same day. Additionally, it’s important to have completed your 90-day report as it is one of the requirements for obtaining the letter.

Have you already done a 90 day report in Bangkok? It's one of their requirements. As long as you have the receipt from your last 90 day report you should be good to go.

It used to be done at tourist visa section long time ago, now I think it is at Tm. 30 section.

Go to immigration at location that you have residence, if you go in the morning you can get the letter in the afternoon.

Thank you! Ah I wish CW could print it out during the visit, similar to the 90-day confirmation printout.

I think it's their way of establishing proof that you actually live at that address
