Hi everyone, this group has always given good information in the past,
I'm wondering what's the best way to approach my visa renewal:
One-year student visa (university) which expires early January, I'm due for a 90-day report around December 16 anyway
I plan on going on vacation within Thailand from December 18th until a few days after my visa expires (and I assume the guesthouse will
When I come back to Bangkok, I plan on moving to a different apartment.
My plan was to try and get a rental contract in December for January, and go to immigration December 16 to extend my visa and do the report at the same time
However I'm not sure if that works since I won't be in the tm07 system for my new apartment yet and will be registered somewhere else for two and a half weeks after.
Is there a better option? Go to the immigration office where I will be spending my semester break, despite not living there?
Thank you.
TLDR : Answer Summary
An expat is seeking advice on renewing their one-year student visa that expires in early January while planning a vacation in Thailand. They are unsure whether to apply for the visa extension and 90-day report simultaneously on December 16 or if they should go through the process under the address of their upcoming apartment, which won't be effective until their vacation is over. Community comments suggest applying for the extension under the current address and filing the 90-day report earlier, rather than complicating the situation.
