Hi everyone, this group has always given good information in the past,

I'm wondering what's the best way to approach my visa renewal:

One-year student visa (university) which expires early January, I'm due for a 90-day report around December 16 anyway

I plan on going on vacation within Thailand from December 18th until a few days after my visa expires (and I assume the guesthouse will

When I come back to Bangkok, I plan on moving to a different apartment.

My plan was to try and get a rental contract in December for January, and go to immigration December 16 to extend my visa and do the report at the same time

However I'm not sure if that works since I won't be in the tm07 system for my new apartment yet and will be registered somewhere else for two and a half weeks after.

Is there a better option? Go to the immigration office where I will be spending my semester break, despite not living there?

Thank you.

TLDR : Answer Summary
A member of the group seeks advice on renewing their one-year student visa expiring in January while planning a vacation in Thailand. They intend to file the visa extension and a 90-day report simultaneously at the immigration office in Bangkok. However, they're concerned about the visa process given their upcoming move to a new apartment and whether they should apply for the extension at the immigration office closest to their current address.

You can apply for an extension at immigration offices in Bangkok when you have 45 days or less left on your stamp (which means you can apply any time)

it sure seems like you're trying to over complicate the process ๐Ÿ˜• (unless I am reading it wrong)

Why not just get the documentation from the school go get the extension under the address you have now.

Then file your 90 day report using that address too. (remember you can file a 90 day report in person up to 2 weeks before the actual due date)

THEN once the holidays are over, you have a new place etc, you would file a TM30, and do the next 90 day report with that address
