Do I need to file my first 90-day report in person for a DTV visa in Thailand?

Hello everyone

I would like to ask about the first 90-day report for a DTV visa.

For the first 90-day report, does it have to be done in person at the immigration office? As far as I understand, the required documents are:

1. Passport

2. TM30 receipt

3. TM47 form (90-day report form)

4. TDAC

However, I have heard that in some cases, immigration officers also ask for a 90-day reporting form that was supposedly given at the airport upon entry.

To my knowledge, when entering Thailand with a DTV visa for the first time, the immigration officer only stamps the passport and does not provide any additional form.

Recently, I was told that immigration requires a 90-day report document issued by the officer at the airport. Has anyone experienced this before? If so, could you please share your advice?

Thank you very much.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The first 90-day report for a DTV visa must typically be done in person at the immigration office, although there are exceptions where reports can be mailed in. Key documents needed include the passport, TM30 receipt, TM47 form, and the TDAC. Some users have mentioned that there is no additional 90-day report document provided upon entry at the airport. Individual immigration offices may have slightly different requirements, so it is advisable to confirm the specific requirements for the location where you plan to report.

LongTimeLivingInThailand Do you mean online report? At the GC complex, they need in person report for the first time and my TM30 is Bangkok, so I’m not sure whether I can report at the Chaengwattana division.

MasterPenguin79 mailed it in by EMS. It's was the first time since reentering Thailand. I have to report to Division 1 (Government Complex). Submitted TM47, TM30, TDAC, and Passport picture page with visa last entry page. I included a return prepaid EMS envelope so I could track when and if they send it back. I was on pins and needles for those 5-6 weeks.

MasterPenguin79 I have many under my belt. Different offices have slightly different requirements. Chiang Mai right now Passport, TM30 and completed TM47. Late last year it was just passport and TM47. Where are you reporting - I have a pic of Jomtien requirements somewhere too.

MasterPenguin79 OK - I never did it there. I was on BOI when I lived Bangkok and office staff did it if needed. Get there early!
