I just moved to Bangkok from Kanchanaburi where I have lived 17 years. I used to my 90 days at the local immigration but they said before I moved that I could do it online, is that also possible if you just move to a different province? Or do I have to report in person the 1st time? Hope someone knows, thanks for your help!

Your first time in Bangkok will have to be in person. Take a printout of the TM30 with. Thereafter you can do it online. I went through the same and first tried online but was rejected. That's why I know 🙂

Not necessary for appointment. However having an appointment saves a lot of time and hassle. If you just walk in go early to get a number otherwise you'll sit and wait all day.

Do it online in the period of 15 to 7 days before your due date. If this is rejected you have two weeks to go in person (up to 7 days after the due date). If you haven't left the country then you should not have to report in person as this is not your "first" report in country, it is the first in a new assress/province.

1st time in person. Ask your landlord first if he filed already the TM30. If he didn't, be prepared to pay his 1600,- fine at Immigration. After that you may report online.

The landlord has done the TM30 for me already online, so maybe go immigration Bangkok in person for the 1st time just to make sure?

I have an experience that if you have the extension from other province, Bangkok immigration office will not accept the tm.30 with new Bangkok address that is filed online. You or your landlord or your agent must file the tm.30 for you in person at CW for the first time . After that you can continue your 90 day online in Bangkok.

The first thing you need to do is ensure a TM30 has been made to register your new address. Maybe your landlord has done this, otherwise it's your responsibility. I would phone or email the immigration you would be using & check their rules, so many office's requirements differ
