TLDR : Answer Summary
A new Tourist Visa in Thailand starts on the day you enter the country, giving you a duration of sixty days. There is also an option for a 30-day extension available for a fee of 1,900 Thai baht at a local immigration office.

And we're done. I think the O/P knows their options.

Adam Gabriel Saint I think you need to find another Consulate. But roll the dice...try your luck?
"Tourist Visa, in case you had previously some Tourist visa your application will be considered more carefully. Vientiane is now, in most cases, asking for proof of funds, Book Bank with balance THB 20,000.- up OR print out from your Bank account from home country value USD 700.-up. Onward air ticket is not required."
yes but say i have 5 days remaining on my tourist visa will this be added to the 60 days? If i go to laos for example and I have 7 days or so left on my visa and get a new tourist visa there will i lose the days remaining on my old visa?
