Help please? Went to immigration department on Koh Chang today to enquire about extending visa for 30 days. As we are staying in a privately rented house, they have said we need to fulfil these requirements. There is a form for our landlady to complete too. The guy did not speak great English. Has he given the correct info? (UK passport holders on 30 day visa exempt stamp)

TLDR : Answer Summary
A UK passport holder on a 30-day visa exempt stamp in Koh Chang must fulfill specific requirements to extend their visa, including completing a form that the landlady must sign. It's crucial to be registered at the rental address within 24 hours of arrival.

These are the forms you need to be registered at an address in Thailand. This should be done within 24 hours after arrival at the address.

Submit the TM 30 yourself online or using the APP. Get a Thai to help you set it up. Get a user name and password. Enter all the info and SAVE. ( ผ 30) is the 30 day exemption.

Thank you so much for your help.

Go to the main land and get into Immigration, the will help you. And please do not walk into offices who claim to be immigration but can not stamp your passport

Ah okay. Thanks for the advice. Last thing, the office we went to today is an 'Immigration Office' on Koh Chang island but does not deal with visas or extensions. He advised us to go to Laem Ngop (on the mainland) for the visa extension paperwork. Do you know whether this would be the place to file the landlady paperwork as well? Sorry for all the questions!

That is between you and your land lady, Immigration needs these documents, if they fine you,the fine needs to be paid before you get your Extension. Get the papers, go to immigration, pay the fine if asked, and later you can discuss.
Robert *******
you need the documents, get the address done, pay the fine and then apply for the extension. Most Immigration offices fine for 800 thb

@Robert ******
and if it hasn't happened during that time? Can we apply for a 30 day tourist visa extension without it? Will our landlady be in trouble? She is currently in Bangkok...
