TLDR : Answer Summary
As a UK citizen in Thailand for 15 days, you can extend your stay by applying for a 30-day extension at your local immigration office, which costs 1,900 baht. You will need to complete a TM 7 form, provide copies of your passport, a passport photo, and evidence of residency. The process is generally straightforward and can take less than an hour at busy locations.

Everyone will have a different story, proof of onward travel is in the requirements (as is 20,000B or equivalent in cash), so could be asked for and often is. Why travel with that stress?
i couldn't extend my visa on arrival when i was there the last time and I feel like my trip was incomplete. Plus, i have post travel depression since last 6 months.
30 days! Very easy. Just need TM 7 form. Print off. Copy of passport x2 passport photo. Evidence of residency. Complete before you go in office. Will be quicker. I went to local immigration office. I was in phuket. ( blue tree). Was in and out in 40 mins. (1900 baht).
You get 30 days tourist extension for 1900B at your local Immigration Office. Where are you? If Bangkok, you are going to go to IT Square, Laksi Plaza temporary office, just next to Lak Si station of SRT Dark Red Line.
