TLDR : Answer Summary
A UK expat currently in Phuket seeks advice on extending their stay past the 30-day visa limit. Suggestions include applying for a 30-day extension at the local immigration office, as well as the option of a short trip to Kuala Lumpur for a new 30-day visa. Additional resources mentioned include the Phuket immigration office and local tourist information centers for guidance.

Hi everyone. Why are you recommending to go to KL over other countries/cities? Is there any benefits to go to KL instead of anywhere else?

You can apply one time for a 30 day extension from your local immigration office.
