Hello all, I'm traveling back to Thailand in December with my 17 year old daughter so we can celebrate Christmas as a family with my thai wife and 8 month old baby daughter, now I have a Non O multi entry Type Visa due to marriage that expires in Jan I will renew this in savannakhet and my 17 year old daughter will have a visa on arrival but her total trip will be 40 days.

Now my question is we will all travel together to get my new multi entry Non O Visa from Laos so she will have to re-enter Thailand plus we plan on a small trip to Hong Kong which again she will have to re-enter so what's my best options here For My daughter's visa? Can she also get a Non O Type Visa because I have one as she will most likely be over a few times in the year to visit her baby sister.

Thanks to you all.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is inquiring about the best visa options for their 17-year-old daughter, who will be traveling to Thailand for 40 days with her family. They are considering a Non-O multi-entry visa due to family connections but are exploring alternatives such as a tourist visa or prolonging her stay through extensions. Several comments provide suggestions, including applying for a multiple-entry tourist visa, considering a 30-day visa on arrival, or potentially obtaining a special visa based on family status, while also clarifying the renewal process for their own Non-O visa.

If this (total 40 days) travel was support to be the only trip (from her homeland) around Thailand for her for 5 or 6 months (after), maybe another choice is just getting Single entry Tourist Visa before flying over and get re-entry permit in Thailand then she can keep her admitted until stamp (60days from the first entry (+ extended 30days if needed) alive....

Your daughter MIGHT <- as in may be issued a year-long, multi-entry Non-Immigrant Type O visa in Savannakhet when you get yours based on being your daughter BUT she might not.

I'd say take the original birth certificate and see if she can apply.

If that's not gonna work either have her enter on 30 day visa exempt entries or get her a single entry tourist visa while you're in Savannakhet.

Just an FYI: you're not renewing your visa in Savannakhet because you can't ever renew visas or extensions :O You're buying a brand new one :)

She doesn't need one it sounds like. Even coming to visit the sister later is easy on 30 day on arrival plus 30 day extension

That's for tourists but hopefully because I'm married to a Thai national I might get my daughter the same visa as myself. Well that's what I'm hoping for but I know someone will be along to correctly advise me here.

Apply for a multiple entry tourist visa for her before you go. Valid for 6 months and you can come and go as you please
