Hi, I was hoping someone could provide me with some advice on what visa I could possibly get for relocating to Thailand.

Myself, wife (thai) and daughter are looking at moving from the UK to Thailand.

My wife has been in the UK for 10+ years, holds both a uk and thai passport. Our daughter only holds a uk passport as do I.

For my work I travel overseas for long periods of time so my visa requirements would have to accommodate for this.

Any advice would be appreciated.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is seeking advice on visa options for relocating to Thailand with their Thai spouse and UK daughter. Recommendations include obtaining a Non-O visa based on marriage to a Thai national, which can be either a single entry or multiple entry. There are considerations for confirming the daughter's Thai nationality and preparing necessary documents like marriage legalization and a Thai passport for the daughter before moving.

get your daughter a thai passport first. apply for a non-O visa based on marriage. If you were married abroad you need to get the marriage certificate translated and confirmed by MFA, then apply to your local Amphur for a Korror2 certificate

Prepare legalization of your marriage recognizable in Thailand before you fly. Also, get your daughter's Thai passport before she flies as well if possible.

Then you would have flexible options. You will have another option that you apply for in-country Non-O and 1 year extension after once you fly into Thailand on tourist entry (except STV).

You might also explore the possibility of confirming your daughter’s Thai nationality, assuming of course that she’s also your wife’s daughter 😊. That will make things easier for all of you.

If you are married to a Thai National, you should get one of the following two visas:

1. A single entry Non-O visa based on marriage to a Thai national. This is a 90 day visa that allows a person to stay in Thailand for 90 days. A person can get a one year extension of stay based on marriage with a multiple entry re-entry permit.

2. A multiple entry Non-O visa based on marriage to a Thai national. This is a one year visa, and on each entry a person can stay for 90 days. You do not need an extension of stay, or a re-entry permit.

The requirements to get these visas can be found on your local Thai Embassy's website.

The requirements to get the extension of stays depends on the local immigration office, however they all require 400K THB in a Thai bank account seasoned for two months.
