What should we do about a damaged DTV visa stamp in Thailand?

Hi everyone, I need help with a DTV-related issue 🙏

My boyfriend is currently staying in Thailand on a DTV. He works remotely for a company based in Luxembourg, but he’s living in Thailand.

Recently, his passport with the DTV visa stamp got damaged in the washing machine 😭😭 — the visa page is now blurry and unreadable. He has another valid passport, and we’re planning to travel to Moscow next month.

He wants to come back to Thailand in September, but we’re unsure what to do now that the visa is unreadable.

❓ Has anyone dealt with a damaged DTV stamp before?

❓ Can he transfer the visa to the second passport, or does he need to apply for a new one?

❓ Should we go to Thai Immigration now before leaving Thailand? Or apply for a new DTV from Moscow or Luxembourg?

Any advice or experience would be really appreciated. Thank you!

Does he have evisa or sticker visa ? If evisa, just show 2 passports at immigration. If sticker you might need to local immigration office to transfer
