Hi guys,I just entered Thailand on a tourist visa, this was the first time I've been asked to show my tourist visa by Thai Airways check in staff at Heathrow Airport. Then was asked to show my visa at immigration bangkok Airport. Make sure you print out your e visa before travelling.

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user shared their experience of entering Thailand on a tourist visa and highlighted the importance of printing out their e-visa before traveling. They were asked to show it by Thai Airways at Heathrow and again upon arrival in Bangkok. Other users provided insights into the immigration process, mentioning that without an e-visa, travelers might receive only a 45-day visa exempt stamp. One user noted their experience with different visa processing at Bangkok immigration, while another joked about common misconceptions regarding tourist visas.

Ooh. Tourist visas. . Dont tell Jeremy Miller that. Lol. He'll say you've got a visa exempt (and poor comprehension).

The OP said they had an E-TR and indicated the need for a printout. The same printout is needed to extend the TR by 30 days once, in country

I was joking about another guy who got angry about saying tourist visa.

he is being helpful by pointing out the difference between a tourist visa and visa exempt which have completely different conditions. Sure, people get confused but when they use the wrong term they will often continue to remain confused. Are you annoyed that he corrects people or the way that he corrects them?

that wasn't the convo. If someone says they have a tourist visa and is extending it, there's no point some random bloke asking me to point out where he says it. There's a difference between correcting someone's post if it's wrong and demanding to be shown what the OP has written.

that’s when people refer to visa exempt as tourist visa (I think 😉)

I just flew in from Heathrow with Thai airways, I did self check in online and just checked my bags. Was not asked for anything at Heathrow end. When I arrived at immigration in BKk I said to then I have visa, gave them the print out which they scanned the QR code, but they didn’t have any visa stickers (like i usually get) so they just put 2 little stamps in for the 2 months. I’m kinda glad as my passport is practically full of Thailand visas 😂

If you cant show your Evisa at immigration you will only get 45 day visa exempt stamp on entry. Print everything.

Just to make sure: Thai immigration does not accept it if you show a pdf on your phone?
