Hi all just have a question.

We, this is my wife(34), my daughter(1) and me(37). Plan to go to Thailand in Early december. We want to stay 82 days. What would be best fitting practice to get which visa etc. I Do not find a direct Option to get one for this range...

So how would i best Do this, without being in danger of getting sent back at the airport because of missing visa or something.

And how much is the cost, what amount of money Do i need to show off?

Thank you very much!

TLDR : Answer Summary
To stay in Thailand for 82 days, your best option is to apply for a tourist visa before your arrival. This will grant you a 60-day stay, which can then be extended for another 30 days while in the country. Ensure you check the specific requirements and fees on the Thai embassy website for your country, including any proof of funds needed for your application.

I think you can apply for 90 visa

Get 60 day single entry tourist visas before you travel and get 30 day extensions in country for 1900B

Apply for a tourist visa from the Thai embassy or consulate that serves your home country before you travel to Thailand. With a tourist visa you'll receive a stamp for 60 days when you enter Thailand, and then you can apply one time for a 30-day extension, giving you enough time for your 82 day trip.

Check the website of your Thai embassy or consulate to find out what the cost is, and how much they want to see as proof of funds.

the 30 day extension is 1,900TB plus a current 2x2 passport photo. Obtained at your nearest immigration office. Should be done one week to ten days before your 60 day expires. Cash Is best. Be prepared with all documents. Fill out all paperwork forms at that location. They will date your stamp. You must leave Thailand at or before that date. If you have difficulty with the forms there is usually someone there that will help you.

ty! I already found this Option but this is somehow irritating as when i stay at the airport i Do habe a 60 day visa but a return flight in 82 days. Isnt this a reason to disallow Immigration?

They may turn you away when you check in, if you can't show flight details of leaving after your 60 days. That's what happened to us last year. We had to leave the queue and quickly book a flight. The lady at check in said they need the details as they can't override their computer so don't chance it....

We've just applied for a visa again and they are asking for the details for all the flights which we've now provided. So hoping all ok this time.

@Georg ******
immigration won't care. It's your airline that might ask.

We've just applied for a 60 day visa and received a message yesterday they want to see flight details of us leaving on day 59. This happened last year as well.

You have been permitted to stay in Thailand 60 days, so you of course have to show that you intent to leave Thailand within the approved period.

just purchased an onward travel ticket from a website for $15

so this means: just buy a ticket to lets say Kambodscha before flight to Thailand, takeoff within the first 60 days. Then never really travel there and instead apply for an 30 day extension? Sounds legit...
Brandon ************
@Georg ******
if you Google "onward travel ticket" you will find many agencies that will book you a ticket for about $15 and send you proof. Then they'll cancel it a few days later.

Ok, but for visa application (TR) i also need to show off my flights. do i need to book twice? once now for visa application and once for day of flight, as the flight personal also may want to see a reservation... Not clear about this. I am trying to do my visa application today, take off is 2nd december from germany to thailand. when i do need to show off flight data today for application, my onward ticket will be already canceled when take off...

Hi just checked this Option withc the onward tickets. They are only valid 48h after buying. Am I right with that? So book em the evening before flight would be the best thing? I just wanted to by them now, but it is not clear to me if I can show a valid reservation on flight day 2nd of December...
Brandon ************
@Georg ******
that's correct, they're only valid for as long as you pay for. Some services will sell you a 7 day or 10 day ticket for an additional fee. Just be aware of the limitations and plan accordingly

We've sent what they've asked for so hopefully it will be ok. We used to go to Hull, so much easier never had a problem...
Henrik *****
You just need to get a onward ticket within the 60 days.
