I am about to apply for a tourist e-visa 60 days through the Sydney Thai embassy website. Can anyone please tell me if I need to produce a return ticket in this application at any point, as it isnβt in their list of required documents ? I Appreciate any help on this.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The original poster inquired if a return ticket is necessary when applying for a tourist e-visa through the Thai embassy in Sydney, noting that the requirement wasn't listed. Responses varied, with some indicating that while the e-visa requirements may differ, generally for the tourist visa (TR) a return ticket isn't required. However, airlines may request an onward ticket at the airport. Additional comments discussed the process for applying for visas from Australia, particularly emphasizing the advantages of using the Sydney embassy for e-visa applications compared to Canberra.
hi, you complete the online application via Sydney or Canberra and upload required documents. Once reviewed by the embassy/ consulate you will receive an email then telling you to post passport and send bank cheque for the fee. Passport will then be returned back to you in Cairns. This can take about 15 working days and maybe allow a bit more time to Cairns.
Five weeks should pull it up for a tourist visa. I think our buddy Wayne Roberts got his OX in less time than that, and the OX requires a lot more info
you go online to Sydney thai consulate and do the online pre-approval application, when you get the email back confirming pre-approval you then send passport and paperwork to the Sydney consulate for the visa to be stuck into your passport
