What should I do with my old passport after renewing it while holding a DTV visa in Thailand?

Do you have DTV visa and renewed your passport (and got a new number) from within Thailand? My question is if I just have to bring my old passport to 90-day reporting and when entering/exiting Thailand, or I need to go to Immigration. Thanks!

TLDR : Answer Summary
If you have renewed your passport while holding a DTV visa in Thailand, you should use your new passport for all official matters, including the 90-day reporting and entering or exiting Thailand. It is advisable to carry both your old and new passports, as the old passport contains your visa information, which may still be required during reentry.

Your old passport is essentially dead. For 90 day reporting or TM30 use your new passport. Carry both passports when you reenter Thailand along with your Visa print out.

They will take your old passport so not the smartest question …. They know you have a DTV Visa without showing them …
