What should I do for the DTV visa process after getting a new passport?

Hi everyone! I have a question about the DTV visa.

My passport will expire in the next 6 months, so I plan to get a new passport soon.

What should I do for the DTV visa process after I get the new passport?

Do I need to update or transfer the visa to the new passport?

Thanks in advance for your help!

TLDR : Answer Summary
When you get a new passport while holding a DTV visa, it's important to carry both your old and new passports. If your DTV visa is stamped in your old passport, you should present it along with your new passport for any future immigration processes. If you have a visa in the form of a stamp, it can be transferred to the new passport, but you will need to ensure that both passports are available for reference.

If you don't have a DTV yet you should definitely wait until after you get a new passport. If you've already got, carry both so the IO can see the original and put the stamps in the new passport.

If you have an actual stamp in your passport and not a separate piece of paper or digital file you can have it transferred. If not carry both passports as suggested.
