I understand that for 90-day reporting, the first report must be done in person. After that, it seems we can do it online. However, as DTV holders, each entry stamp is valid for 180 days, and we can either leave the country or extend our stay for another 180 days. I have two questions about these scenarios:
1. If we leave Thailand (even for a border run) before the first 180 days are up, and we’ve already completed the initial 90-day report in person, can the next 90-day report after re-entry be done online?
2. If we extend our stay for another 180 days without leaving the country, making a total of 360 days, will the remaining 3 or 4 reports after the initial in-person report be allowed online?
Thank you for your clarification.

TLDR : Answer Summary
This post discusses two key questions about the 90-day reporting requirements for DTV visa holders in Thailand. Firstly, it inquires if subsequent 90-day reports can be completed online after the initial report is done in person, particularly after leaving Thailand and re-entering. Secondly, it asks whether reports can be done online if the stay is extended for an additional 180 days without leaving the country, totaling 360 days. The responses emphasize that the first report on each entry stamp must be done in person, which resets the reporting clock upon re-entry.

It's a five minute stroll to my closest PO, postage and return with EMS about 70 baht, two or three photocopies a few baht. Box ticked. I laugh when I read about people spending half a day at immigration just for a check-in..
