I've just renewed my passport and my retirement visa. Because I have a new passport I went and done my 90 report today. Thinking that I can go back on line for my next 90 report. But the lady at immigration said that I can't go back on line till I leave the country and get a new enter stamp. Is this true. Seams a bit wrong. Has anyone else done it

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user inquired whether they could use the online system for their 90-day reporting after renewing their passport and retirement visa. An immigration officer advised that they must get a new entry stamp by leaving the country first. Other community members confirmed that this is a common requirement when changing passports. They also discussed the necessity of updating related documents, such as the TM30 form, and shared resources for easier reporting.

If you get a new passport like I did, you have to do your 90 day reporting in person to the immigration office first time round, then you can do the 90 day reporting online from the second time
THAI ******************************
We offer services via our new system which will overcome these issues and not require you to go in person.

Also if you use us for reporting you also can have us do your residency certificate for you and mail it to you if needed.

We charge as low as 375 THB for reporting in person on your behalf, and mail the original back to your address with tracking.

Off topic but might be helpful. Do not forget to update your bank accounts with new passport number AND your mobile phone company. Most important for Bangkok Bank if you have an account with them.

yes I know of many people have the same problem. I use my account every day. Also run a bar So if an account gets coosed then it could affect buy stock paying bills.hopefully it will not happen to me but because of what's happened I now got 3 accounts so if I get a problem I got a backup.

A similar thing happened to my husband yesterday. Not a new passport but an extension of retirement visa since we got our last TM30 done in August (our landlord filed when we moved in to new house). The IO told my husband he’d need an updated TM30 before doing his 90-day check in. We asked our landlord if she could file new one so she did and we’ll go back to immigration tomorrow to do the check in.

I've seen the same report from others before. That once you change passports, you cannot use the online system until you leave Thailand and return. Doesn't really make sense, but what does in Thailand?
