TLDR : Answer Summary
Yes, you can change the Muay Thai gym associated with your DTV visa. Once the DTV is approved, you are not obligated to attend the course at a specific gym, as it functions similarly to a gym membership. While it's advisable to keep documentation from your new gym as proof in case of immigration inquiries, the change should not affect your visa status. Just make sure to maintain compliance with TM30 reporting requirements.

You can but as of right now zero need, unlike ED visa your visa is not sponsored by your gym. Really changing currently is just asking for a headache from immigration as they obviously dislike the program

Just move gym and continue with your life until you hear of any (unlikely) possible change in policy

Once the DTV is approved it doesn't matter.

There is no requirement for you to even attend the course.

It is a "soft power " leisure activity.

So as long you exit and reenter for a fresh 6 mths, no problem.

Like any gym membership you buy, it's up to you what you do with it.

IF you decide to try and extend 6 mths in Thailand you would need to requalify just like applying for the original visa.

Thank you for the response. Would I run into any trouble regarding the TM30 at 90 days if I use the new address instead of the original gym's address? (assuming I was living at the gym)

doesn't matter you just have wherever you are staying to register your tm30.Remember once you have the visa. It doesn't matter, you can change your flight plans, country of entrance, where you stay or whether you even go to the courses.... Once the visa is in hand away you go..

Hello,

I would like to make this change too! Does anyone know the procedure to follow? Thank you.

if you extend at immigration then you show them your new gym info. Otherwise keep docs to hand incase of being asked on arrival. The gym does not sponsor your visa so you can do same activity elsewhere.

What about TM30? Additionally, would attending the gym a few times a month be an acceptable cadence?

@Brian *******
TM30 is a requirement to report the stay of all foreigners. regardless of visa status. it still needs to be done. Yes, a few times a month is an acceptable cadence

Thank you !

If I understand correctly! I take out a subscription in the new gym near my home and I keep the papers that prove it.
