Hello, i already got a DTV visa but my passport is expiring soon and i have plan to come to Thailand again this July. Does anyone has any experience on this? What to do with the visa if i get a new passport?
Answer summary
If you have a DTV visa and your passport is expiring soon, you should apply for a new passport and use it for travel. The details from your old passport will remain linked in the Thai immigration database, so it's essential to keep a printed copy of your old visa and any related documents. However, it is advised to verify this with immigration officials, as experiences may vary regarding the acceptance of a DTV in the context of a new passport.

What does "soon" mean? In three days? In a week? In a month? Your passport must be valid for at least six months upon entry.
Apply for a NEW passport, use the new passport for travel.
Facial recognition, fingerprints, dob, nationality, gender and a few other minor details of the Thai database did not change with a new passport.
Your E-mail account and print out of the Visa did not change.
Next to this there is information in the passport that this new passport is a replacement of passport number xxxxxxxxxxx
It all will be linked in the Immigration Database
BUT some will explain, the Immigration Officers do not use a DTV to enter Thailand,so they have no clue about their own database, rules and regulations.
According them only an old invalid passport can be used to enter Thailand.
