Hello everyone,
I have another question. I requested my Non O visa with my Italian passport and the visa should arrive by the end of May however, I need to renew this passport because I realised that it expires on May 2025, so not enough time to get the year long extension. I will renew the IT passport in June, so after I get the visa.
Will the visa with my old passport be valid or will Thai immigration create problems for me? Obviously, I will take both passports with me to the airport.
I know that if you have a valid visa stamped into an expired passport, you can still use it as long as you take both passports with you but my doubt has arisen because the Thai visa comes in e-mail form and not stamped on the passport. It’s a silly detail, but any reassurance (or warning) from you would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks and have a nice day! It’s still 2 degrees here in the French Alps! Very unusual weather but, I guess it’s better than the 43 degrees in Thailand in April which was brutal. Either way, life is good.
TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is seeking advice about the validity of their Non O visa, which is expected to be issued for their old Italian passport that will be renewed shortly after the visa is received. The concern is whether Thai immigration will accept the visa, which is in electronic form, if they travel with the old passport before the renewal. Community comments provide reassurances that the visa will likely remain valid, and suggest checking with the Thai Embassy for clarity.
