TLDR : Answer Summary
When entering Thailand for the first time with a DTV visa, you need to bring a printed copy of your DTV visa email, your passport, and the TDAC form. An onward ticket is not necessary for the DTV. Upon arrival, present these documents to the immigration officer and confirm that you receive a 180-day stamp in your passport.
Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC)

WARNING: Only trust Thai government websites with .go.th domains or Thai agent websites with .co.th or .in.th domains, as these require verified Thai registration and cannot be registered anonymously.

The official TDAC form is available at tdac.immigration.go.th, which uses the official .go.th government domain.

The services by AGENTS CO., LTD. does NOT charge any fees for arrivals within 72 hours. If you need to book more than 72 hours in advance, there is a service fee of $8.

Do not trust other sites pretending to be a trustworthy agency. Pay attention to delivery time - the service operated by AGENTS CO., LTD. has 1 minute delivery time for arrivals within 72 hours.

Don't fall for sites pretending to be agents.co.th or the official government tdac.immigration.go.th website. Always double-check the exact domain in your browser.

Scam services may take days to process your application, others may not even do anything. With these TDAC scam services you also need to worry about double charges.

Please watch out for TDAC misinformation spread by fugitive Jesse Nickles and his many fake accounts on Quora, TripAdvisor, Reddit, and other platforms.

Thank You for your helpful report ๐Ÿ‘

Congratulations ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘

PRINT OUT THE EMAIL THAT HAS YOUR DTV VISA.

That's what you should do... print it out.

You may have to show PROOF of your DTV Visa to airline staff on check-in for your flight โœˆ๏ธ to Thailand...even to the connecting airline staff. Or to the land border crossing entry Thai Immigration Officer.

Upon arrival into Thailand, show the DTV visa to the Thai Immigration Officer and look at the STAMP placed in your passport to be sure you are STAMPED in for 180 days.

I flew emirates and arrived on Monday - didnโ€™t have an onward flight and was never asked about it.

At immigration you just need passport, boarding card, dtv printout and TDAC. I printed DTV and laminated it passport size like others - she scanned the qr code and asked me if I wanted to stay long time - I said yes, 180 days please, and she nodded and stamped my passport.

I had my TDAC done online beforehand and brought the print out but they never looked at it as Iโ€™ve seen others say. Should bring the printout though just to have everything.

People say to look for a female immigration officer too, thatโ€™s what I did.

Good luck and enjoy your stay in Thailand ๐Ÿ‘

Johnny47 haha - definitely man.

18 years since I was here last, 39 now - Iโ€™m only 5 days in this time and Iโ€™ve decided I never want to live in the west again! No brainer!

Hope you get sorted with DTV easily and have a good one over here ๐Ÿ‘

Johnny47 Yes just checked and hereโ€™s a screenshot of mine - I left it blank as here on DTV - all good with immigration ๐Ÿ‘

Anonymous participant 526 yeah make sense because long term like 180 days can be extended for another 180 so return flight not needed !! We are not returning we living there forever hahaha

Johnny47 Hi, good question actually but I think the return flight section of the TDAC can be left blank - if I remember correctly it doesnโ€™t have an astrix beside it - not necessary to fill in if you donโ€™t have a flight ( for the long term visa users )

Have another look, Iโ€™m pretty sure this was the case for me and I left it blank. When immigration pull your TDAC up and you have your DTV visa they understand this to be the case ๐Ÿ™‚

Anonymous participant safe travels my friend and see you in Thailand ๐Ÿ™‚

I forgot to mention too that you should quickly check the stamp to make sure they havenโ€™t made any mistakes once they hand it back.

Seen one or two instances pop up ( not many ) where someone has received the wrong stamp or wrong dates etc.

Worth double checking everything is as it should be.

Have a good one ๐Ÿ‘

You do not need an onward ticket with a DTV, show your DTV upon Check In. You need to complete the TDAC and bring that with your DTV.

yeah mate , any non Thai has to do it regardless of the visa type.

You can do it a few days before. Incase you forget they also have little stations at the airport you can do it when you land. If you donโ€™t have it an que up to immigration they will turn you around to the back of the line
