Can I enter Thailand with a new passport and an e-Visa linked to my old passport?
Hi everyone! Has anyone had this situation with a Thailand tourist e-Visa?
If I apply for and receive the e-Visa using my current passport, then renew my passport before travelling, can I enter Thailand using the new passport + old passport + printed e-Visa?
The e-Visa would obviously show the old passport number.
Looking specifically for anyone who has actually done this recently. Did you have any issues with the airline at check-in or Thai immigration?

You're confused. Thai MFA introduced the DTV. It's Thai Immigration Bureau who supposedly don't like it (according to some group members that is).

I don't understand their logic. Why do they care whether you're actually residing in France, in that example. Nationality (passport) alone should be sufficient. It's not like you can apply from multiple other countries anyway.

Expatsiam✈️ The question to ask ourselves is if it wasn't for being a digital nomad, enrolled upon a cultural course, attending medical/dental appointments or being an expat, where would you be living? With that in mind, set about obtaining documents to confirm that. Not every country issues National Identity cards. However, everywhere has water and electricity supplies. Government departments at both national and local levels issue bills and communications for various purposes. If you continue to hold home country bank account(s) change the address upon them from Thailand to home country. Look into virtual postboxes that provide a street address.
