How can I correctly update my Certificate of Entry (COE) for transit flights to Thailand?
I’m having trouble updating my COE.
My flight:
SFO-NRT Feb. 3rd
NRT-BKK Feb. 4th
Original COE has transit date of Feb. 3rd
Transit date should be Feb. 4th
When filling out the COE transit section I tried to put the NRT-BKK flight number and date but it says “error” Transit flight number must be different from final flight.

Answer summary
The user is experiencing issues updating their Certificate of Entry (COE) for transit flights to Thailand, specifically encountering an 'error' when trying to change the transit date and flight number. Community comments suggest that the transit date may not be crucial as long as the departure and arrival dates are correct, and that while issues may arise at boarding, they can sometimes be resolved with consulate assistance.

I had the same problem with my COE. The transit date was the same even though it was the next day. The Thai consulate said it was OK, although it was scrutinized when boarding my connecting flight to BKK. Eventually a supervisor was called to clear it.

Transit date doesn't matter. As long as your departure and arrival date are correct you're fine.

OPI just got off the phone with RTC and I’m more confused than ever! They told me to delete my flight number from the “flight entering Thailand” 🤦♂️

Yeah, I just helped someone last week with that. DC embassy told her the same thing, Departure and Arrival are the only dates that matter. Activity
