I put my dtv application in on the 29th August, still haven’t received any updates at all.. still just says pending document check anybody else like this.. applied through ho chi min city
Summary so far
The original post raises concerns about a DTV (Digital Nomad Visa) application submitted in Ho Chi Minh City on August 29, which remains in "pending document check" status with no updates. Comments include experiences related to various immigration offices in Thailand, visa extensions, the TM30 form requirement, and whether to hire an agent versus handling the application independently. Several users share personal anecdotes about successful and timely processing at different immigration offices, indicating variability in experiences depending on location.

One time I was there with a friend we waited not too long.

Then you have to come back , so you get lunch and then go back.

This was in Jomtien.

I didn't know about using an agent.

Id say it would be worth the extra 1500 baht or whatever to save the bother.

I think you can go to the local police station and get it done there at a cost.

Or leave the country and fly back in and get another 30 days.

Bob You personally need to go to the Immigration Office about one week before your permitted stay expires. You pay 1,900 baht and you can get another 30 days.

You should bring your passport, 1–2 photos, and your TM30. If you don’t have the TM30 document, bring proof of payment from the place where you are staying, at least one day in advance.

At the Immigration Office, you will fill in the form. The officers will tell you exactly what documents they need and how to do it. Nobody will take your documents or money if you don’t have all the required documents.

At Immigration anywhere in Thailand where you stay at a hotel for just one day and get a copy of the TM30. Outside the tourist areas, it takes a few hours at most.

Or just get a 3 .month single entry tourist visa or a 6 month multi entry tourist visa online at the official site..that's it, keep life simple🤔

George Fragiadakis oh the distant days when being able to walk in and walk out with ease. If memory serves me well of a small immigration office on Beach Road, Patong, Phuket for an extension on a Visa Exempt, (and similar at other provinces.)
