Do I need proof of TM30 to extend my visa exemption in Chiang Mai?

Question about TM30 and visa extension: Do I need to bring any proof of TM30, or any form/paperwork related to that, when I go to extend my visa exemption in Chiang Mai?

More details: I entered Thailand via Phuket Sandbox in August, with a 45-day visa exemption. I traveled to Chiang Mai in Sep. This week, I moved to a Chiang Mai hotel that specifically told me they *will* file a TM30 for me. (Previously, my Airbnb host didn't file one.)

Now if I go to extend my visa for 30 more days, do I need to bring anything related to the TM30? Or should I get any information from my hotel (like the owner's name/passport info)?

Thank you!

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user inquired if they need to provide proof of TM30 paperwork when extending their visa exemption in Chiang Mai. They moved to a hotel claiming to file TM30s after previously staying at an Airbnb, which did not file one. Various comments suggested that although the hotel should process the TM30, in case they hadn't, they could contact the TM30 office behind immigration for assistance. An update confirmed that the hotel did not file the TM30 automatically, but staff at the TM30 office helped rectify the issue quickly, allowing the user to include the documentation needed for their visa extension.

Update: It turns out the hotel did not file a TM30 for me automatically. But a woman in the TM30 office behind Chiang Mai immigration was able to call my hotel and tell them (in Thai) to go register me right then. Then a few minutes later, after I was successfully registered, she filled out a slip for me, which I had to get photo-copied in the copy shop, and then that copy was included for my extension. No fee or anything, just took a minute to wait for the hotel to actually go register me.

the hotel must have done it for you.

but if the officer tells you that he wants the TM30 you will go to the small building behind the main office and he will do it for you in 2 minutes.

if you are at the hotel: just your passport because you will be found in the computer system

if you rent a condo: your rental contract, a copy of the owner's identity card.

if you are invited to a Thai house by friends or by your girlfriend: a copy of the identity card of the person holding the chanotte and a copy of the chanotte and copie Tabien Baan.

have a good day.
