Hi. Is it possible to cancel your DTV application?

I applied in July but they asked for a lot of other documents I couldn’t or didn’t want to submit so I left it as it was but it’s still pending and waiting for the documents in the portal. Now I want to try and reapply but with mui thai DTV but I can’t do that if it’s still pending. I have been told that after about 45 days they automatically reject your application but I’m wondering if there is an option to cancel it.

Or has anyone had their DTV rejected and then tried to reapply and got it with mui thai? I applied from Vietnam. Any info or leads would be super helpful on this! Thanks!

Answer summary

The user is inquiring about the possibility of canceling a pending DTV (Digital Nomad Visa) application due to an inability to provide requested documents. They are interested in reapplying for a Muay Thai DTV visa instead. Comments suggest options such as submitting a withdrawal request letter or uploading such a letter in the application portal, but users note the application fee will not be refunded regardless of the outcome. There is also mention of prior experiences where applicants received rejections and later successfully obtained a visa.

Yes, go into the portal with your application and for every document request upload a letter of withdrawal and submit it.

FYI: No matter what you do they are going to keep the application fee.

Just upload withdrawal request letter explaining your situation.

You can find several posts of rejections and then successfully approved via MT/SP. Have you contacted the embassy in Vietnam about your application.

I just emailed them an hour ago so I’m sure it will take a few days. I didn’t upload the letter yet. Do I just upload it to where I would upload the requested documents? Or is there another place for this? I couldn’t find anything like that on the portal
