I am currently considering applying for the Destination Thailand Visa (DTV) and would appreciate some clarification from anyone who may have experience or reliable information regarding this matter.
I entered Thailand last year and obtained a work visa in Bangkok, which is valid until September this year (approximately five months remaining). I am already familiar with the DTV application process; however, I have received conflicting information from different sources.
My main question is whether it is acceptable to use a Thai bank account, opened under my name while working legally in Thailand, as financial proof for a DTV visa application. Some people have advised that this is permitted, while others have stated the opposite.
If anyone has successfully applied using a Thai bank account, or has official guidance or firsthand experience, I would greatly appreciate your insight.
Thank you in advance for your help

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is considering applying for the Destination Thailand Visa (DTV) and seeks clarification on whether a Thai bank account opened in their name can be used as financial proof. They received mixed advice on this matter. Comments suggest that it is generally acceptable to use a personal Thai bank account, but emphasize that the account's balance and transaction history (typically requiring statements from the last six months) are critical for the application.
The bank account is irrelevant it is the amount and how long it's been in your account usually 6 month statements with the amount and some transactions is the requirement good luck
That depends on your bank, if they have no problem that you keep using this account after you cancelled your Extension of Stay, left Thailand, applied for a DTV and use that visa to be in Thailand.
I suggest trust your bank manager, not experience of others at other banks.
