Hi all,

I have a question about Non-B business visa. I have a potential employer that did a Non-B for me which is valid for 3 months, but I don't have a work permit yet. Now I don't want to work for them anymore. Can they cancel the 3-month valid Non-B and do I have to leave Thailand?

As far as I know, as a regular employee with a work permit and 1 year Non-B work visa, as soon as they cancel the work permit, you'll need to leave within 7 days.

But my case is the employment hasn't started yet and there's no work permit to cancel, can they still claim to immigration office that I have to cancel my visa and leave?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The author is inquiring about the consequences of not wanting to proceed with employment while holding a Non-B business visa issued by a potential employer. The visa is valid for 3 months, but the author doesn't have a work permit yet since employment has not started. They seek clarification on whether the employer can cancel the Non-B visa and if they need to leave Thailand. Responses indicate that while an extension can be canceled, a visa itself cannot be canceled at this stage, and the author may stay until the end of their 90-day stamp without needing to leave.

I have the same situation.

While an extension can be cancelled, a visa cannot. You can stay until the end of your 90 day stamp without any issues. You just cannot work without a work permit.
