Hi, I want to ask for suggestions. I am holding a Non-B. My contract with my current employer will end on December 31st but my visa is valid until January 31st. I don’t want to continue or sign new contract with my current employer. So, if I end my contract at the end of December, do I need to cancel my visa at the same time? Also, is there any visa I can apply for such as covid-19 visa extension or tourist visa after the end of my visa status in December?
Thank you for your suggestions.
TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is seeking guidance on their Non-B visa status after their employment contract ends on December 31st. They are unsure if they need to cancel their visa concurrently with their contract termination and if they can apply for other visa options like a COVID-19 extension or a tourist visa thereafter. Responses suggest that the user will need to cancel their work permit and potentially apply for a short-term exit stamp, as the current COVID-19 extension program may expire soon. It is noted that applying for a tourist visa from within Thailand is not possible.
