I'm hired as a remote contractor. My company can provide Employment letter, however, I only worked there for 2 months. I have proof of requirement for 500k baht savings already.
Wondering if I'll absolutely need payslips for the last 6 months.
Note that i get paid in digital currency so im not sure how i can show salary payment in bank account. I do have tax returns for my prior employment years, though it wasnt remote.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is seeking to apply for a workation DTV visa in Thailand while working remotely and receiving payment in digital currency. There are concerns about providing proof of income, as they have only worked for 2 months and lack traditional payslips. Comments suggest that the application might be rejected due to insufficient income history, and it is advised to consider having a sponsor to demonstrate continuous financial support. There are also suggestions regarding how to present income from digital currency and the potential benefits of applying for a Soft Power DTV visa instead.
I don't think being paid in crypto currencies is that much of an issue, as long as you change your income into fiat. You would have invoices with your wallet address, proof of payment to that wallet on the blockchain and proof of exchanging the amounts into fiat through an exchange + transactions going into your bank account. However, having only 2 months income history will possibly be an issue.
if you are a student than a sponsor will fit in the equation to satisfy the financial requirement. The thais could care less who has the money as long as it is seasonal and IT COMES FROM OUTSIDE THAILAND. For remote worker they want your income to be your sponsor. If you dont have this established than i will tell you STILL TO GO THE SOFT ROUTE. You are a student and someone is sponsoring you . Stay simple and you will get the visaπ
This will end up in rejection based on recent applications. Take the soft route and get an sponsor. Someone has to show continous flow of money for the last 6 month for the application to be considered. Yes you might get lucky with savings but i would not take that route if i was you π
