I'm due to do my Non-O yearly extension (based on marriage) in a few months. Visa runs out on November 28th. Problem I have is that I am due to travel back to the UK over the Xmas period. I am also due to be away during October break (45 days before my visa expires and when I would normally be putting in the extension) 😬
So I would need to apply 30 days before the expiration date at the end of October and then fit in a house visit and wait for my passport and hope this can all be done before we leave on the 15th December!
I can't work out what to do, are there any options to extend my visa to cover this period and then do the proper extension once I am back in January?! Thanks

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is facing timing issues with their Non-O visa extension, as they need to apply for the extension 30 days before the visa expires, but will be traveling in October. The user seeks options for extending their visa to manage their travel schedule while ensuring compliance with Thai visa rules. Community members suggest alternative options, like applying for a new visa from their home country or consulting with the Thai immigration office for possible solutions or extensions.

thanks for your suggestion. I was not aware that the 60 day family visit extension was an option for an existing one year extension of stay, which is what she now has.
I had to use that last year on my initial 90 day entry to Thailand as we weren't in Chiang Mai for the house visit in October, that's why it pushed my visa expiration date back to the end of November. Not sure if that exempts me from doing it now?
you can get it once per visa/extension type, do if your burned it on the initial non o visa your current extension is from your done.
You may have to look at leaving, letting this extension run out, getting a new non o from the Thai consulate online before you come back and starting the extension process all over.

Why just don’t do a new non o visa in your country and back on it; everything is done online now; so should be easy
yeah I was thinking that this may be my only option but worried as I have a couple of weeks from when my visa expires until I leave the country in December and I don't want to overstay so I might have to leave the country before then and come back as a tourist. Then apply back in the UK over Xmas?
days based on family reason; it’s fast track extension; different from the annual renewal;it costs 1800b as well; but better then leaving country and coming back

Timing is critical and everything.
There's NO extension of your current ending date of stay available.
Suggest you talk to your local Thai Immigration office where your address is registered.
