What should I do about filing TM30 and applying for a COVID extension given the website is down?

After some advice regarding TM30 for TR60 covid extension purposes. (Already had the normal 30 day extension). I filed an online TM30 a few weeks ago (staying at friends) and took a screenshot. I took a trip to Phuket last week (stayed in a hotel) and got back on Monday. I planned to go online and re-file a TM30 but as we all know the website is currently down.

I need to apply for the covid extension sometime next week in MTT. I have a trip to Trat province planned tomorrow for a friends birthday, and we’re staying in an air bnb getting back on Sunday.

What are my options here? Wait until I’m back from Trat and try the website again? If it’s still down, go and file a TM30 in person on the Monday and apply for the extension on the same day?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is seeking advice on filing a TM30 for the purpose of applying for a COVID extension. They have already filed a TM30 online but must travel for a friend's birthday before the extension application deadline. Comments suggest that a new TM30 must be filed within 24 business hours of returning from travel but some believe the original TM30 can suffice if it's within a short trip. They also mention that it's possible to apply for both TM30 and the extension on the same day at the immigration office.

Can you not just use the original TM30 you filed? As I understand it they relaxed the rules so there is no need to refile if you go on a short trip and then return to your main place of residence

Maybe, maybe not. He is on tourist status (no "residence" or return places), and the newest TM30 record is likely Phuket hotel.

You can apply for both TM30 and your extension at MTT. You can do on same day.

In theory, each time you stay at a hotel a TM30 is filed, and each time you stay at another place the TM30 is also filed. You will need to file a new TM30 no later than 24 business hours after you arrive.

Different immigration offices have different policies. I believe Bangkok (MTT) is hard nosed about having the most recent TM30 filed.

If you are coming back on Monday after spending a weekend somewhere you can self file a TM30 without a fine.
