Hi,
Am going to try to do an "unable to travel due to covid" 60-days extension next Monday before my 30+30 visa exemption expires on the 24th (so 1 week earlier so as not to lose too many days on my current visa, but still get some reaction time in case I get the boot).
Have seen a couple of positive reports from "covid extenders" at MTT in Bgk these last few days on the group, even 1 who had had many covid extensions (mine would be the 1st).
Now, do I absolutely need a TM.30 to get that covid extension? If yes, I arrived on Test&Go 1-day quarantine. Who is supposed to give me the TM.30? The hotel (I stayed there 1st 2 days) or the landlord of the condo I currently live in?
I contacted my consulate (French) and it's a no-no for any letter, so no help on that side. I believe these are the only 2 "special" documents I need for covid extension? And does it help my chances to get the extension if I get an appointment instead of just showing up?
Thanks.
TLDR : Answer Summary
A user is seeking advice about applying for a 60-day COVID-19 extension at MTT in Bangkok before their current 30+30 visa exemption expires. They are uncertain if they need a TM.30 to get the extension, given that they entered Thailand under the Test & Go program. They also inquire about who is responsible for filing the TM.30 form and whether it is advantageous to book an appointment rather than walk-in at immigration.
