Can I apply for a COVID-19 extension without my TM30 already processed?

Hello, last month I received a one-month extension to my 2-month visa. I was told by immigration authorities that I can apply for a COVID-19 extension for one more month, which I intend to do. However, I asked my landlord to obtain a TM30 a bit late and today they told me it may take up to a week. With 3-day public holidays starting next week, I am a bit worried that I may be late with my application. My visa ends on 17 July.

My question is whether it would be acceptable for me to go to the immigration office without the TM30 and to ask them to check on the basis of my address to see that the TM is in the process of approval. Thank you very much for any advice you may offer.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is concerned about applying for a COVID-19 visa extension without having the TM30 completed in time, as their landlord is delaying the submission. Responses clarify that the TM30 doesn't have a process of approval and that the user can inquire at the immigration office about their situation. It was suggested that using the previous TM30 for the same address might suffice.

There is no "process of approval."

I'm not sure what your landlord does but it sounds like they are blowing smoke up your ass.

Most landlords and hotels use the online system to report and can get a screenshot that it was done instantly.

On top of that, did you use a TM30 for your last extension? If it's the same address you used last time for your extension, use the same TM30. They do not expire.

there is no "process of approval" on a TM30, your land lord either files online (which is a passive data entry system only meaning as soon as they do it you're registered) OR they go do it in person OR they mail it in. Those are the choices,

I doubt you'll get a covid extension without a TM30 but you can certainly go ask your immigration office if you can or not.

That's about all you can do.
