Good evening! I'm about to finish my contract and I bought my ticket already and my flight is in the morning, but I have to cancel my WP and Non B and as long as I have morning flight I should cancel my visa one day before. So what should I do? Will they charge me for one day overstay?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is concerned about canceling their Work Permit (WP) and Non-B visa before their morning flight to avoid overstaying in Thailand. Comments suggest visiting the immigration office before the visa termination date to cancel the extension, which can prevent any potential overstay issues. Additionally, it is clarified that while there is a common misconception about having 24 hours to leave after visa cancellation, it is actually required to leave on the same day, or risk being stamped for an overstay, though penalties may not be severe for a single day.

Remember you can most always cancel your current extension and then "buy" a 7 day extension denied stamp for 1900baht that gives you a week to get out of the country. Most all immigration offices sell them.

BUT

The best advice is go to the immigration office BEFORE the termination date on your paperwork, cancel your extension, get stamped in until that termination date and then leave on that date

This is a common misconception that you get 24 hours to leave. It is actually 'leave same day'. Doesn't matter how early in the morning either ;) I did the next day 'within 24 hours' before and my grievences just got a belligerent 'up to you' from the IO passport control guy. Get your crisp 500 baht note ready :)

why not just take the termination paperwork to the immigration office a week or so BEFORE the date on it? That way they'll cancel your extension and stamp you in until that date.

Then you don't have a gun to your head to exit the country the day you cancel your extension.

Overstay fines are in place for a reason. Many travellers find themselves overstaying for many reasons so I wouldn't fret about it for 1 day.

1 day grace flying out, they might stamp you as overstay but there is no penalty or bad future effect.
