What Should I Do About a Wrong Extension Stamp in My Thai Visa?

Got a wrong/ different stamp and not sure what to do next..

I have an Israeli passport. Two months ago I entered Thailand without a visa, and got the 30 days pass. A month after I went to the immigration, and got 30 more days. The plan was to go to Chengdu right after but due to Corona virus and because as many others here I also fell in love with Thailand (๐Ÿ˜Š),I wanted to stay longer. Through this group I learned that the only thing available is one more extension of 7 days.

So today I went to immigration, and filed a form with request for 7 days. Under reasons I wrote "plans changed due to Corona "

Paid 1900 baht, and then got the passport back. When I got home I noticed that instead of getting an extension until February 18, it says March 18!

So now I wonder- is that a random mistake (and if so should I do something about it ), or am I extremely lucky and really got another extra month? Could it be related to the virus ?

EDIT- to those who commented that I should just go with the stamp - but what about their documentation on me in the computer? What if I'll leave Thailand in March and suddenly they will want to charge me for many overstay days- should the stamp alone be enough to avoid that? ๐Ÿ™

Thank you

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user, holding an Israeli passport, received an incorrect stamp while extending their stay in Thailand due to the coronavirus situation. Initially allowed a 30-day stay, they obtained an additional 30 days and sought a further 7-day extension. However, the stamp indicates an extension until March 18 instead of February 18, raising concerns about potential overstay fines if the date is incorrect. Comments suggest that this is likely a mistake, and the user is advised to confirm the correct date with immigration to avoid issues.

, okay I deleted the off topic and comments offering just plan bad advice :(

You would not be the first person to get the wrong stamp AND seeing as it's your passport and you're responsible for the stamps IN your passport you need to go get it corrected.

Unless by some wild stretch of the imagination (which I find EXTREMELY UNLIKELY :O they gave you a month on purpose), you'll be liable for overstay after the 7 days extension denied period expires.

GO to the immigration office and confirm that the stamp was given correctly.

AND once you do, message me and let me know what the outcome was so I can open this thread back up and let you tell everyone what happened.

It is not uncommon for immigration to put wrong stamp or enter wrong information into computer.I had immigtation put my renentry stamp in my passport and did not put expiry date. Also when I applied for online 90 day checkin. The information in my passport did not match the information in the computer meaning info entered in computer was incorrect. I would just use the stamp in your passport if you are concerned go back and check with immigration.

It's a simple date mistake. Read the stamp 'Extension of stay is NOT approved'. You need to get the date corrected. If you stay beyond the 7 days, you'll be on overstay. You need to leave before 23.59pm the 17th November.

A date stamp is your responsibility to check it is correct and if not, get it corrected

Iโ€™m leaning towards an error by the IO and to avoid any drama just leave by 18 Feb as per your original plan...?

I'd lean towards it probably being a mistake. There has been talk of immigration waiving overstay fines due to coronavirus in certain circumstances but the fact that (1) it is a "NOT APPROVED" stamp, and (2) it is exactly 7 days + the next month, I suspect he meant to give 7 but didn't correct the month. I would double check with immigration before relying on it.

I'm not sure you get that extension because of coronavirus special treatment for Chinese travelers. under normal circumstances, that stamp is definitely wrong. And no matter what the official stamp says, it is YOUR responsibility to get the correct stamp and keep the correct date. If this is a normal mistake, and you leave Thailand on that date of stamp, you will be face to be fined one month overstay.
