Today at Chang Wattana getting extension of stay and they have made a mistake on my stamp, they didn’t put today’s date they put the date until on there. Shall I leave it ? Or do I need to go and wait in the queue again and potentially get sick 😣

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user at the Chang Wattana immigration office received a stamp for an extension of stay with the incorrect date. The discussion suggests that it is essential to return to the immigration office to get it corrected, as the passport holder is responsible for verifying the accuracy of the stamp. Comments emphasize the importance of addressing this mistake to avoid future complications.

should have gotten a one year extension of stay, which he received. He now knows to go to the immigration office and get the stamp fixed. Since he got a one year extension of stay stamp, he has one year to go and get it fixed.

You should most definitely go back to get it amended. Also, it's your responsibility to check after they stamp it.

How long should your extension of stay be? One year?

do you think it is an easy fix ?

Yep, very easy. Since you can hang around here for another 365 days, I think you should get this stamp fixed around middle April or whenever things start getting more calm.

I need to do 90 day report within the next two weeks so I’d rather just get it sorted. Do I need to prepare all the documents or can I just take it in and show them and explain and they just re stamp it ?

Just go in, show them your passport, and how the date isn't correct. They'll fix it on the spot.

You snuck in your comment right before I close, so I'll respond to it.

The extension of stay is the responsibility of the passport holder to confirm that the date is correct. *IF* someone was supposed to get a 30 day extension of stay, and he got one year by mistake, it does not mean he can stay in the country for one year - after the 30 days are over, he'll be on overstay.

the lady was all over the place answering phones and multiple conversations with different people, I can see how easily she did it, and then plus the queue at CW today was hectic, so I understand the issue. Kicking myself I didn’t spot it there and then. Oh well I’ll go back on Wednesday 👍🏽
