What should I do about a potential overstayed visa due to an immigration error on my Covid visa extension in Thailand?

I applied for a Covid visa extension on August 17 and it was 'under consideration' until August 31.

On 31 August the extension was stamped, but not for 60 days until 17 October, but for 90 days until 17 November.

It looks like the IO got the month wrong.

What is the worst case scenario if I leave from Suvarnabhumi on November 17? Can they say at passport control that immigration made a mistake and I am 30 days overstay?

Or is it better to check again with the local immigration?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user received a 90-day COVID visa extension stamped until November 17 instead of the expected 60 days. They are concerned about the possibility of being charged with a 30-day overstay if they leave Thailand on the expiration date and whether they should seek clarification from local immigration services.

when did your stamp BEFORE you applied for the covid extension run out? <- were you applying for a covid extension when you had a month left on your current stamp?

As a rule they were ADDING the 60 days of the covid extension to the expiration date of the stamp you applied for that extension from

It was already the second covid extension after entering in June on 30 days exempt plus a 30 days extension. The first Covid extension got me 60 days, but the 2nd one got me 91 days (17. 8. (applied) - 17.11.). So it looks like a mistake by immigration. The question is whether I can be held accountable for this? Or were there reports of 90 days Covid extensions?

What are the exact dates on your stamps? entry and covid extensions.

Please provide all stamps from your entry stamp in June for making things to be sure.

, Looking at your stamps, your current date of 17 Nov is as exactly expected. The latest extension is the second one, so it will be "added" to the 1st extension (finished 18 Sep), starting on the next day (19 Sep) your 1st covid extension is finished, for 60 days more. Under consideration is not always part of the earlier part of the new extension for the Covid reason.

This is what Tod said in the first comment.

You are fine until 17 November.

Thanks so much for the explanation. That's really great news.

Your first Covid extension started on the day of application because it was a different reason from the stamp you had before the covid extension. But second one was 'added' because the same reason you had at that time.
