Just submitted my first ever 90 day checkin online. Approved within 3 minutes via email.

FYI for anyone considering that route. Super easy and quick! 🙌

Answer summary
A user successfully completed their first 90-day check-in online in just 3 minutes and shared their experience, suggesting it is easy and quick. Several commenters discuss variations in the experience based on different provinces. Some believe that the first report must be done in person, while others confirm it can be completed online. A recurring concern is ensuring that the TM30 submitted matches the TM47 information to avoid rejections.

I think it depends on the immigration office.

I have completed my 90-day reports three or four times over the past two years.

On one occasion, I tried to submit it online and Bangkok Immigration rejected my application. A few days later, while I was traveling, I called Krabi Immigration to check their opening hours (I didn’t want to travel from Koh Lanta to Krabi without being sure).

The officer advised me to submit my 90-day report online. I explained that my application had already been rejected in Bangkok. They told me to try again using the documents from my hotel in Koh Lanta.

A few minutes later, I received a confirmation email.

From what I hear, only some provinces allow that. Bangkok and Chonburi did not allow first time online as of last year.

Congratulations! I don’t know why but I see several posts that first 90 day report should be in-person. However, since the time online reporting system was introduced, regardless of first/subsequent report, I have never done it in-person except on an occasional when system was down for several weeks. Though, this will be my first time on DTV so keeping my fingers crossed

Nice. I hope mine works online too, I just can't imagine having to constantly go to office every 90d.

What about TM30? I know host/landlord should do it, or hotel, but I plan to stay 1w airbnb in 2-4 location per each city Bangkok, Phuket, Pattaya, until I decide where I will rent long term. So 10+ properties in 3 months probably. I know these airbnbs won't report most of the time.

Do you know if I could just do it myself online, and if it's easy?

OP
You need to make sure your TM30 filed with immigration matches what you put into you TM47 or you will get denied.

yes but can I do tm30 myself online since likely landlords of airbnbs won't comply? Or it's tricky? Have you tried doing it yourself?

Where in Thailand do you live? You received 2 emails after you submitted your report?

Yes. First email was submission confirmation, second email was acceptance confirmation which arrived 3 min later.

I live in Mueang Phuket district.

Anonymous participant I recall another Phuket resident stating the same recently, looks like immigration there are trying to lessen the amount of visits to the office.

I’ve tried two times and both declined and have done at immigration twice now. I was told because each time you fly out it resets and you need to do at immigration

I always thought you had to do your 90-day report, the first one, at immigration. You are saying that this is your first 90-day report and you did it online?

Anonymous participant 287 they probably mean “first time doing it online” after their first one in person as your right first can only be done in person

That's what I read here too. But I figured why not try it out and see if you could do your first report online. And it worked! So apparently they changed it.

Anonymous participant they didn't, 3 days ago i was trying to apply 90 report online, but it was rejected, so i had to go to immigration with all printed docs. i think it depends on province as usual

I also tried to submit a report online last year in the same province and the result was the same, had to go to the immigration with documents. But of course, I always try to make it online first

Or it depends on the officer seeing the request.

My idea is the same as OP, just try, when they reject you just print the filled in document from the online request and bring it to the office.

Of course that is just a waste of time of you and the officer, so maybe they really are changing it.

Is that literally your first 90 check in or did you have to do one in person first?

If time permits, may be just as a case, you could mention the steps you took to complete it.
