Does early submission of the 90-day report in Thailand affect the due date for the next reporting?

Data point and question: First 90 day reporting (TM47?) in Jomtien/Pattaya area was successful. And I even did it online, so I have not physically entered the immigration office yet.

I registered for an online account last week. Even though I have until beginning of December to submit the 90 day, I submitted my 90 day reporting on the website Monday, nice and early because I thought I would need the extra time for processing or going in person due to an online denial. However, on Thursday I got the approval email.

Question: The email now says my due date for the next reporting is February 18. So by doing the reporting early, I end up moving up the date up for my next reporting, thereby causing me to do more 90 day reportings during the course of my one or two year stay?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user successfully submitted their first 90-day report online in Jomtien, which resulted in their next reporting due date being advanced to February 18, following the approval of their early submission. Several comments confirm that submitting an early report resets the 90-day reporting cycle. While this may lead to more frequent reports during a stay, concerns about this were downplayed by other users.

Is that a problem ? Not really ..

Just to let you know for 90 day reporting in Jomtien you do not physically have to go into the immigration building. You just go to the desk outside on your right as you enter through the gate. Drop your passport and forms etc off and go back an hour or 2 later. No waiting around.

… but you’re waiting around outside for an hour or two ? Isnt it sort of similar ?

I usually walk and go and have a breakfast at Cheap Charlie’s.

You don’t literally have to wait at Immigration.

If you don’t have 2 hours to spare once every 3 months you don’t have much of a retirement.

Its logical. You report every 90 days. If you report early the count resets.

Correct

you did indeed. the next 90 day report should be 90 days from the day they approve the one you just filed

I knew an old guy who would wait and go file his 90 day report in person on the 6 or 7 day AFTER it was due because he was "gaining a week" each time

He was a day counter too 😛

please note I meant NO outright disrespect toward the O/P with my comments. and if I offended anyone I apologize

No offense taken. I wanted to try my first reporting early because I was expecting the online process to fail. I just didn't realize that I would be moving up my reporting dates. I will need to update my calendar is all.

Just do the next one seven days later, so you get that week of your life back again

Yes every report is 90 days after submission of the previous one

Good question. I have wondered the same thing.
