What options do I have to extend my Non-O visa in Thailand with dependents and limited funds?

I hope someone can give me some advice. I’m currently on a non-o , I have two dependents, a five year old and a one year old. My non-o was issued at the Savanatekt, Mukdahan border. I used to go there as they don’t verify that you have 400,000 baht in your bank account, which I don’t. I was hoping to extend my non-o with the emergency extension, but was informed that I couldn’t get one.

I have 120,000 in the bank , +30,000 to 50,000 baht a month in a bank account in my name and +30,000 to 40,000 baht a month in my wifes bank. (This is money I xfer from my Canadian bank to my wifes bank.) I’m not sure if I can use this income to apply for a non-o here in Rayong.

I would hate leaving my kids , an wife by themselves.

Please let me know if there are any options for me.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is seeking advice on extending their Non-O visa in Thailand while managing financial constraints and family responsibilities. They have two dependents and do not meet the standard bank balance requirement. Options mentioned include using a letter from the Canadian embassy to validate monthly income and applying for a year extension based on having a Thai wife or half-Thai children.

and I think on that note the O/P has about all the choices open to them to get their ducks in a row and apply for a year extension

Good luck to them.. (y)

sadly for you there is no combination method for raising half thai children. It's either 400K banked OR 40K baht a month OR by showing the letter from the canadian embassy stating you get a minimum of 40K baht a month from canada.

I'd see if you could get the embassy letter (they issue it and it IS accepted)

then go for the year extension based on having a thai wife or half thai kids.

that notary letter from your embassy here in thailand IS the only thing that you can use to show proof of funds as far as monthly income.

So contact them, get the notary letter, and then apply for the year extension You're still on a Non-O even though you were getting covid extensions so you don't need a new one of those just a year extension from the original one you entered on before you started taking covid extensions

If I get 400,000 in my bank account today, will I be able to apply ? Doesn't it have to be there for 6 months ?

just so you understand you are NOT applying for a Non-O VISA, you have one, you entered on it before you started taking covid extensions (from what you've said) all you need to do is apply for a yearly extension.
