Hi all question. I’m going to get my EofS (Extension of Stay) today. Which starts with a Under Consideration Stamp. My Current EofS marriage expires 25/01/2023. This is what I will be renewing.

I will buy a multi re-entry permit while I’m there. Is it possible to leave Thailand while on a current Under Consideration stamp? TYIA

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is inquiring about the possibility of leaving Thailand while holding an Under Consideration stamp for their Extension of Stay (EofS) based on marriage, which is set to expire soon. Comments advise against purchasing a multi-entry permit during this period, as it would be valid only for the duration of the Under Consideration status, and suggest waiting until the full extension is granted before obtaining the re-entry permit. Additionally, there are concerns about potential home visits by immigration authorities if the user travels during the Under Consideration period.

🤔 .... I wouldn't leave while under consideration, depending on what immigration office you use you might get an home visit while

DO NOT buy a multi entry permit when you apply for the extension based on marriage because you'll get an under consideration stamp and any re-entry permit you buy will only be valid for the 30 days that stamp is good for..

WAIT until after that under consideration stamp runs out, you go back and you get the year extension THEN buy the re-entry permit so it will be good all year.

definitely sounds better with the Feb 25 expiration date 🙂

but still unless you're traveling during the 30 day under consideration period don't bother getting a re-entry permit until AFTER you get your year extension so it's valid for the whole year
